Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the “Mist” app (“Mist”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use it on your iPad. We built Mist to be a calm, private place to color, and we keep data collection to a minimum.

The short version

• Mist does not require an account, name, or email to use.
• Your drawings and coloring progress are stored on your device.
• We do not sell your personal data.
• Mist shows ads through a third-party advertising provider, which may process limited device information to deliver and measure those ads.

Information stored on your device

When you color in Mist, your artwork, progress, color choices, and app preferences (such as your left/right handed setting) are saved locally on your iPad. This information stays on your device and is not uploaded to us. If you delete the app, this locally stored data is removed.

Advertising

Mist displays advertisements provided by Yandex Mobile Ads. To serve and measure ads, this advertising provider and its partners may collect or process limited technical information, which can include a device advertising identifier, general device and app information, approximate region (derived from network information), and ad interaction data.

App Tracking Transparency

On iOS, Mist may ask for your permission to track using Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline, Mist and its advertising provider will not access your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) for cross-app tracking; you may still see ads, but they will be less personalized. You can change this choice anytime in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on your iPad.

Apple SKAdNetwork

Mist uses Apple's SKAdNetwork, a privacy-preserving framework that helps advertisers measure ad campaign performance without identifying you individually.

Analytics & diagnostics

Apple may provide us with aggregated, anonymous statistics (such as crash reports and download counts) through App Store Connect if you have enabled sharing in your iOS settings. This information does not identify you personally.

Children's privacy

Mist is a general-audience app and is not directed at children under the age required by your local laws (for example, under 13 in the United States). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will address it.

Data security

Because your creative work is stored on your own device, it benefits from your device's built-in protections. We encourage you to keep your iPad updated and protected with a passcode.

Your choices

• Decline the App Tracking Transparency prompt to limit personalized advertising.
• Reset or disable your advertising identifier in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking and Apple Advertising.
• Delete the app to remove the artwork and preferences stored on your device.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes may also be noted within the app.
